Grenade, is not about War, but Love

        Grenade is second single from the album Doo-Wops and Holigans, this song was sung by Bruno Mars. The genre of this song is ballad.

        This song tells about a man who loved his girlfriend very much, he does everything for his girlfriend. Unfortunately, does not really love him because she has another boyfriend. The man knows that his girlfriend has another boyfriend. He decided to kill his self because disappointed. So, the theme of this song is sadness.

In the music video this song, was told that a man drags a big piano to his girlfriend’s house but, after he arrived he knows that his girlfriend has another boyfriend and then he drags back his big piano. Finally, he stops in the middle of train way and he died.

I think this music video confusing  because the man drags a bid piano to his girlfriend, for what he drags a big piano. I do not understand what the meaning of it.

In my opinion music and lyrics are good, i can enjoy this song and I like this song.

If we compare with first single Just The Way You Are from the same album, we will find the different theme, Grenade tells about sadness and Just The Way You Are tells about happiness and also we will find the different theme of music. Just The Way You are is pop and Grenade is ballad but, all of them got  a big successfulness.

        I think this song is great, music and lyrics are good. It can entertain the listener. On the other hand, I do not understand what the meaning of music video this song.

Cinta, Love, and Friendship

 

        

         Who does not know Ada Apa dengan Cinta movie, on February 7th, 2002 this movie was released. This movie was directed by Rudy Soedjarwo and was produced by Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza. I interested with this movie, that’s why I decided to make a review text about it.

         Ada Apa dengan Cinta told about the love story between Dian Sastrowardoyo as Cinta and Nicholas Saputra as Rangga. They had different character, Cinta were popular girl in her school, cheerful and she had a lot of friend (Ladya Cherill as Alya, Adinia Wirasti as Carmen, Titi Kamal as Maura and Sissy priscillia as Milly) . That was different with Rangga, Rangga were cold, arrogant and he did not have friend, but they liked poetry.

The story began when the school poetry contest winners will be announced this year, all students believed that Cinta will be the winner as in previous years. Unfortunately, Cinta is not a winner at the time, the winner is Rangga. Cinta actually felt disappointed, she tried to take it all, but she was still curious about Rangga, why Rangga had never published his poem to school bulletin board who happens to managers was Cinta and  her friends.
Cinta tried to find out who exactly rangga. Until one day, in a school library they met, Cinta wanted to interview Rangga for poetry has won a race this year for the purposes of the school bulletin, but it was rejected by Rangga. Cinta was being nice to Rangga suddenly changed because of the attitude of Rangga were cold and arrogant.
Cinta was angry with Rangga.

Next morning, Cinta sent a letter to Rangga and it made Rangga angry. Rangga finally went to see Cinta. They quarreled, Rangga unknowingly dropped a book entitled Aku by Syumandjaya. Cinta knew it she immediately took the book. Cinta’s friends immediately approached Cinta and found out what's going on but, she did not say what happened she just told them that she was fine.
A few days later, Rangga who realized that his book lost trying to find everywhere but still was not found. Until one morning suddenly at the Rangga’s table  there was a gift that turned out to Rangga book that has been there in Cinta, and of course Cinta was reading that book. Rangga went to see Cinta, He thanked to Cinta. Rangga was very different when he first met Cinta. Since then they both became close. Unfortunately, their closeness unknown by Cinta’s friends, and Cinta to be a rarity along with her friends.
The problem came when Ladya Cherill as Alya, Cinta’s best friend  the victims because Alya’s parents fought constantly.Cinta promised that she will always be there for Alya and her other friends.
One afternoon already have promised Rangga, suddenly got telephone from Alya because her parents fought. Alya requested that she stay overnight in the house of Cinta, but Cinta was lying if she were a headache and had to go to the doctor. However, she wanted to go with Rangga. After that Cinta got a bad news that Alya tried to kill her self. Cinta was guilty, she was confused, what should she do, she should stay away Rangga or to continue the relationship with Rangga but her friends will go away.

       

        This movie got a successfulness. It became the most popular movie. Not only became the most popular movie, this movie also got some awards. In 2004 it got some Citra awards such as best director (Rudy Soedjarwo), best actrees (Dian Sastrowardoyo), sound editing (Melly Goeslaw and Anto Hoed). At that time also It was soundtrack album which was sung by Melly Goeslaw Feat. Erick Benzi also got a big successfulness.

On the other hand, in this movie there was a part when Cinta’s best friend (Alya) tried to kill her self because her parents fought, I thought this part was not good for student of Senior High School.

         Nevertheless, Apa Apa dengan Cinta is the best movie and you must watch this movie.
